Five star wide receiver target of Ohio State, Florida State, and the entire SEC dominates OT7 Championship

Some young wide receivers step onto the football field at a very young age and clearly just have "it". Jabari Brady, wide receiver from Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Ft. Lauderdale, FL is one of those kind of talents. As soon as Rivals, 247Sports, and On3 Sports released their initial rankings lists for the 2026 recruiting class Jabari Brady was an automatic five star talent across the board. And after this weekend his hype is only going to grow.
If you're unfamiliar with the flag football scene, the OT7 Championship is the premier event in all of the sport. And Jabari Brady, still not even a junior in high school, absolutely dominated the competition there. Brady is a part of the South Florida Express (SFE), one of the most storied, proven, elite flag football teams in the history of competitive flag football. And when asked to step up for SFE this weekend he answered the call (and then some).
Jabari Brady's elite skill set
Several of SFE's top playmakers had incredible performances throughout the flag football tournament. Both Vernell Brown and Jaime Ffrench (2025 fringe five star recruits) had excellent performances throughout the OT7 championships, but not quite like Brady.
When it mattered most Brady snagged five touchdowns in just the span of two games in the semifinals and finals for SFE! Including this beauty in my post below:
Brady's dominance at the point of the catch was on constant display, out-muscling some of the best defenders in the country, many of whom were older than him. That physicality likely stems from his basketball background, but he also brings proven track speed too. Brady will likely coast to consensus five star status when his 2026 recruiting class rating is solidified.
Likely schools to land Jabari Brady
So, who will actually land this elite talent who is still somehow ascending in Jabari Brady? The two schools who he's shown the most interest in thus far have been Ohio State and Florida State. He's already logged at least three unofficials (among other contacts) with the Buckeyes, and two with the Seminoles.
Both of the other in-state (Florida) schools have gotten an unofficial visit from Brady as well. The Hurricanes seem to falling behind given his long stretch without much known contact there, but the Gators are assumed to be a strong front runner by many.
It's still quite early though. There's a great chance that a few of the major contenders for Brady's services have yet to emerge as he's clearly not in a rush to make his decision. We'll closely monitor Brady throughout this summer and fall as his unofficial visit totals begin to ramp up.
