The Detroit Lions are having some high profile weddings all of a sudden. We already saw quarterback Jarred Goff marry Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Christen Harper last weekend, now we're seeing Lions running back Jake Funk marry Hannah Ann Slus.
Fans of the The Bachelor and the Bachelorette know who Slus is. She won The Bachelor competition in 2020 when Peter Weber was the shows bachelor. The two did not get married and the engagement was called off shortly after the seasons finale. Funk and Slus began dating in 2021 and got engaged in 2023.
Funk signed with the Lions last January a week before the NFC Championship game and the team retained him on a futures deal after the season. He is expected to compete for a roster spot during training camp this year.
Funk was a seventh-round pick by the Rams in 2021. He also spent time with the Saints, Colts, Dolphins and Ravens. He will no doubt wind up being a preseason darling when Lions fans see that he runs a lot like Zach Zenner.
Congrats to Funk and Slus on getting married and having a name that sounds like it could be a cool funk band in the 70's. "Now coming to the stage, Funk and Slus!"
