The Philadelphia Eagles acquired their new backup quarterback from the Pittsburgh Steelers over the weekend.
Philly received quarterback Kenny Pickett and a 2024 fourth-round pick (No. 120 overall).
In exchange for Pickett, the Eagles sent the Steelers their 2024 third-round compensatory pick (No. 98 overall) and a pair of 2025 seventh-round picks.
After the trade, the Eagles went from having one third-round pick in this year's draft to none.
That means they now only have three top-100 selections instead of four.
But it also means that the Eagles are extra high on Pickett if they were willing to give away an earlier-round pick for him rather than one of their later selections.
The Eagles still hold eight total picks, including three other later-round compensatory picks.
