The opening ceremonies of the 2024 Olympics in Paris will have a little Tennessee Vols flavor.

Vols legend Peyton Manning is set to serve as a co-host of the opening ceremonies on NBC along with Mike Tirico, one of the best play-by-play men in sports, and pop singer Kelly Clarkson.

According to The Athletic, Tirico first approached Manning last year at the Kentucky Derby about hosting the opening ceremonies.

Manning was hesitant at first — but only because he thought he was unworthy of such an assignment.

“I kind of argued with him (Tirico) as to why he and NBC thought I was worthy,” said Manning to The Athletic. “He said they were bringing in Kelly Clarkson to kind of give the perspective of a fan and wanted me to share the perspective of what these athletes are thinking about it.”

The opening ceremonies will take place on July 26 at 7:30 PM local time in Paris (which will be 1:30 PM ET).
