The Indianapolis Colts are in the thick of their player evaluations for the 2024 NFL Draft. They will be on the road for some of the top talents in the 2024 NFL Draft class' pro days.

The Colts had multiple notable staff members in attendance on Wednesday to check out the University of Texas pro day.

Along with head coach Shane Steichen, the Colts sent offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter and their wide receiver coach Reggie Wayne to check out Texas' pro day. Texas has multiple intriguing NFL Draft prospects that the Colts could be there to see, but with them sending that group, all eyes are on their two WRs projected to be selected in the first round, Xavier Worthy and Adonai Mitchell.

One of the multiple positions that seem on the table for the Colts in the first round is WR, so for them to have this strong of a group in attendance at Texas is very notable. Fans of all 32 teams have been begging for their favorite team to draft Worthy after he broke the 40-yard dash record at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine. His ability to make plays after the catch and take the top off the defense is a trait the Colts seem to be looking to add this offseason. The biggest area of concern I imagine the Colts and many others have with Worthy is him weighing under 170 lbs.

Mitchell, on the other hand, wasn't as productive as Worthy at Texas but is a more prototypical size that the Colts look for at WR. He may not have set any records at the Scouting Combine like Worthy, but he still put on a show with one of the strongest overall performances we've ever seen from a WR.
