The Atlanta Falcons made a pair of roster moves on Tuesday afternoon.

According to ESPN's Michael Rothstein, the team sent offensive tackle Barry Wesley to its practice squad injured reserve list and signed defensive back Lukas Denis in a corresponding move.

Denis, who initially went undrafted out of Boston College in 2019, signed with the Falcons following a tryout this past May.

The Falcons were seemingly impressed with the former XFLer and kept him up until the league's final roster cut day on Tuesday, Aug. 29.

In Atlanta's first preseason game against the Miami Dolphins, Denis recorded a notable interception in the fourth quarter. However, his training camp and preseason performance just weren't enough to beat out the Falcons' 2023 seventh-round pick, DeMarcco Hellams.

Before he joined the Falcons, Denis had just wrapped up playing for the St. Louis Battlehawks in the XFL this year. Through 10 games, Denis logged 37 total tackles (two for a loss), two interceptions and a single sack.

Welcome back, Lukas!
