The Indianapolis Colts are revamping the quarterback room. Head coach Shane Steichen has the opportunity to build the position the way that he wants it in his first season at the helm.

So far, the Colts have made two notable moves at the position. First, the team officially moved on from Matt Ryan. That was expected. Then, Indianapolis signed free agent Gardner Minshew to a one-year deal worth $3.5 million.

Of course, the Colts are widely expected to make another move at the position in the draft. Anthony Richardson appears to be the favorite to be the pick. And the former Florida quarterback just so happens to be training with Minshew.

The two quarterbacks are putting in work down in the Sunshine State. Which, given the nice weather and that both have familiarity to the state, certainly makes sense.

Still, it is difficult to not read into it at least a little bit. After all, the Colts just recently signed Minshew and surely are considering Richardson for their selection in the top-five of the upcoming NFL Draft.

Minshew has played for Steichen the past two seasons, even starting a handful of games with the Philadelphia Eagles. Therefore, he knows the playbook, offense, and the expectations that come with playing for Steichen.

Theoretically, that gives Richardson an opportunity to pick Minshew's brain and learn more about what he could expect if he is indeed the selection. Especially since he is the betting favorite to be picked by the Colts next month.

Of course, this could all mean nothing and just be a coincidence as the two prepare for the 2023 NFL season. However, it is fun to connect the dots to the Indianapolis Colts given how the offseason is playing out.
