There's no lack of excitement surrounding Indianapolis Colts rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson. The signal caller out of Florida enters the league with big expectations as he takes over for a team that has been lacking a franchise QB.

Whether it be his exciting style of football, big arm, or elite athleticism, Richardson has a lot of intriguing traits that point to a high ceiling. It's easy to envision him thriving in an offense that Jalen Hurts broke out in under Shane Steichen.

However, it's not even just on the football field that Richardson is generating hype. In a video that has gone viral on Twitter, Richardson is seen showing off his skills on the basketball court, too.

The video shows the Colts' quarterback playing pickup while at Florida. He was running the floor and hammering down dunks in the game. Richardson put his elite athleticism on full display for everybody to see.

Even former Colts Pro Bowler Pat McAfee was impressed by the clips. He tweeted out the video on Saturday in a bragging manner to highlight the Colts' QB. The tweet has totaled nearly 500,000 views.

Of course, Richardson's athleticism is no secret. After all, he tested better than any quarterback in NFL Scouting Combine history prior to being selected by the Colts in the draft. That's a big element that attracted general manager Chris Ballard.

"He’s a pretty unique athlete and talent," Ballard said after drafting Richardson at No. 5 overall.

Furthermore, Steichen believes that Richardson's dynamic ability will put a ton of stress on defenses in the NFL. Richardson can beat defenses with his legs and his arm, which opens up even more of the playbook for the Colts.

"When a guy can run and add that element to your offense it’s a big plus. It puts stress on defenses and obviously he has that capability," Steichen said shortly after adding the QB to the roster. "I just wouldn’t sleep on his throwing ability either. That ball comes out pretty now. He can spin it."

No matter how you slice it, Anthony Richardson is an extremely exciting quarterback prospect for the Indianapolis Colts. His potential is sky high, largely thanks to his athleticism and dynamic ability, as he enters the league.
