The preseason date and times are set for the 2023 NFL season. 

The New England Patriots begin the preseason on Thursday, Aug. 10 against the Houston Texans at Gillette Stadium. The game will kick off at 7 p.m.

This will be the first time people will have the opportunity to see new offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien calling plays. On the other side of the field, rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud and new head coach DeMeco Ryans will make their debut. 

This game will also mark the Patriots only home preseason game, with New England not returning until the season and home opener against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 10.

Next up is the Green Bay Packers, who will be without Aaron Rodgers for the first time in 18 seasons. After selection Jordan Love in the 2020 NFL, the quarterback will now get his time to shine. 

Over two years, Love has only appeared in 10 games with 50 completions for 606 yards and three touchdowns. Now it appears the starting position is his to lose. 

The Patriots then finish off the preseason against the Tennessee Titans, facing off against former Patriots player and current head coach Mike Vrabel. 

The question that remains with this matchup is whether the Patriots will see DeAndre Hopkins on the other side of the field as the receiver is scheduled to visit with the Titans on Sunday, or will Hopkins be lining up with the Patriots? 

With rosters still having to be finalized and top free agents still available, this preseason is sure to be an interesting one.
