Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson had his first experience as a "brand ambassador" of the team this week when they attended the NFLPA's Rookie Premiere this week.

Every year, the NFLPA selects rookies across the entire league to attend the event "based on factors such as college performance, draft status, position, and marketability, all of which affect trading card value." It is, after all, presented by Panini America.

During the event, the player's union aims to give rookies the chance to "learn about the business of pro football from union leadership, following the footsteps of established players who have gone through the same experience."

While the above is undoubtedly what matters most about the event, it's another particular activity that most interests NFL fans: The unveiling of the rookies' official jerseys.

For the Colts specifically, it was made even more special given it's the team's quarterback who made the picture. Richardson rocked the stampede blue and the No. 5 he'll be wearing on Sundays.

If things go well for the No. 4 overall pick, he'll be on the field soon enough for the Colts. Early reports out of rookie minicamp indicate he's looking good but his development is expected to take time. The lack of an established quarterback means the door will be open right from the start and it will likely come down to a matter of timing for the coaching staff.

One thing is clear, though, regardless of when he makes that first career start: He's the newest hope of a franchise still recovering from an unfortunate ending to Andrew Luck's career.

Richardson's week also included an insightful conversation with Tom Brady, too. You can read more about it here.
