The New York Jets are looking to change the tides after numerous seasons of struggle, and one of their newest additions is using his most recent experience as motivation.
Not shying away from his appreciation for Taylor Swift, Rodgers was one of many in attendance at her shows at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and the end of the show gave him a glimpse into what he could possibly see soon.
At the end of her three-and-a-half-hour set, Swift ends with confetti falling into the stadium as she sings "Karma" off her newest album "Midnights." The colors of each piece of confetti represent each of her albums (or eras), and in there are green and white — the Jets colors.
As the confetti fell on Rodgers head, he uttered six simple words: "The Jets won the Super Bowl!!"
While this clearly hasn't happened (yet?), Rodgers aimed to speak this into existence with organized team activities having just started.
After 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers and the Jets finally came to an agreement this offseason, with the MVP quarterback joining the AFC East and hoping to help rebuild a struggling organization.
With the Packers, Rodgers won just one Super Bowl in 2010, but since then has not been back to the NFL's biggest stage. As for the Jets, they have not made the playoffs since 2010, marking a 12-season drought.
For Jets fans, hopefully, Rodgers' prediction comes true.
