The New Orleans Saints needed some extra muscle at the center position with Erik McCoy having some injury issues lately so they signed Billy Price last month, a former first-round pick.

This particular marriage ended in divorce before the blink of an eye as the Saints released Price with a non-football injury designation on Thursday.

Price started 19 games in three seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals before his fifth-year option was declined. After spending a year with the New York Giants (made 15 starts), Price spent the 2022 season with the Arizona Cardinals and started 11 games after a knee injury to Rodney Hudson.

New Orleans is set to start training camp next week so getting another veteran center in to get acclimated will certainly be high on their priority list.
