The Green Bay Packers are taking care of some business before they start training camp.
One of the more important things on the to-do list before camp started was to sign all of the rookies they just drafted. One of the ones they hadn't yet signed to a contract was their first-round and first-pick, outside linebacker Luka van Ness from Iowa.
Ness was the 13 overall pick that the Packers got from the New York Jets.
On Monday, the Packers signed him to his rookie deal. As of right now, the numbers aren't yet known.
Right now, Van Ness is likely behind Preston Smith and Rashan Gary on the depth chart; however, he will be the edge rusher, or outside linebacker, of the future for them.
