Just days away from the 2023 NFL Draft, the anticipation is only rising about who the Indianapolis Colts will select in the first-round. The franchise is in desperate need of a quarterback of the future.

As many as five different signal callers have been linked to the Colts leading up to the draft. The dust is starting to settle a bit, though. For instance, Alabama star Bryce Young is widely expected to be the No. 1 overall selection to the Carolina Panthers.

Which means the focus is centered around the Houston Texans and the No. 2 pick. The latest NFL Draft buzz is indicating that there could be a bit of surprise before the Colts get on the clock at No. 4.

Kentucky quarterback Will Levis is now the betting favorite to be the second selection in the draft. Levis has widely been considered the third or fourth best passer in the class. Instead, he could go as high as second overall.

Which would be good news for the Colts if you read into rankings and draft boards. That's because such a scenario would lead to at least one of CJ Stroud and Anthony Richardson being available for Indianapolis to grab.d

Stroud is the proven quarterback out of Ohio State that has played in big games and big moments for the Buckeyes. Richardson is the intriguing prospect out of Florida with an exciting athletic profile and seemingly high developmental ceiling.

Levis, on the other hand, is one of the most polarizing prospects in the entire class. He has the measurables and flashes on tape that point to a successful NFL career. However, his inconsistent play and otherwise disappointing final season on the collegiate level leave a lot to be desired.

It would be difficult to complain if the board falls this way for the Indianapolis Colts in the 2023 NFL Draft. Either Stroud or Richardson would be exciting fits in the offense for Shane Steichen in year-one.
