While it initially looked like the Seattle Seahawks may trade out of their selection of number 5 overall in the NFL Draft, they stayed there and made their selection.

With the 5th overall pick in the NFL Draft the Seattle Seahawks selected Illinois corner, Devon Witherspoon

This is a fantastic selection for the Seahawks and locks up their cornerback room for the foreseeable future.

Tariq Woolen was selected in the fifth round just last year, and immediately brought positive returns on their investment.

He was the co-leader in the NFL for interceptions as a rookie, finished third in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting, and made the pro-bowl.

Adding Witherspoon to the other side, easily makes Seattles' secondary one of the most fun in the league.

Witherspoon brings a physical presence, who is scheme diverse and can play in both man and zone coverage. He has top-tier reaction ability and exceptional short-area quickness.

Seattles' secondary is young and ready to play.
