A Tennessee Vols newcomer made a statement recently that should get UT fans excited.
2023 four-star athlete Cam Seldon, who signed his national letter of intent with Tennessee last month, has the potential to be one of the most exciting players in college football in the coming years.
We've already heard Seldon compared to Deebo Samuel in the way he can be used by Josh Heupel.
And now we know that Seldon plans to make good on those comparisons.
According to 247Sports' Steve Wiltfong, Seldon said this week that he's going to "dominate" in Tennessee's offense.
Seldon is built like a linebacker with elite receiving skills and elite speed (he was the Class 1A state champ in Virginia in the 100 meters and holds the school record at 10.74 seconds).
It's going to be a lot of fun watching Seldon in Heupel's offense. It's especially going to be fun to see how Tennessee uses him.
We've already seen that Heupel is a master at exploiting mismatches with wide receivers.
Just imagine what Heupel will be able to do with a hybrid running back/wide receiver that he can move around. That should be incredibly exciting for Vols fans. Seldon could end up becoming a nightmare for opposing SEC defensive coordinators.
