Miami Dolphins defensive tackle established himself as one of the best players at his position in 2022.

Snubbed from the Pro Bowl, Wilkins has consistently made his doubters look foolish. Now that the regular season is wrapped up, it’s easy to see where he stands amongst other top interior defensive linemen.

As it turns out, Wilkins isn’t just one of the best the NFL has to offer, but there is a case to be made that he is the best defensive tackle in football.

Wilkins finished the season leading defensive tackles in tackles (98), run stops (55), run-stop win rate (46%), and batted passes (7). His 16 tackles for loss ranked second, only trailing Chiefs DT Chris Jones.

Perhaps Wilkins gets overlooked because he doesn’t play in a nationally recognized market in Miami. That being said, there is no excuse to leave him out of the conversation for one of the best players against the run in the NFL.
