The Philadelphia Eagles will likely need to find another offensive coordinator this offseason, as Shane Steichen, one of the geniuses behind this crazy offense, is now a hot commodity.
The Eagles staff balled this year, as you can see by their 14-win season. The offense was elite, not only because of Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, and Nick Sirianni, but Steichen had something to do with it too.
Because of how elite the offense is, the Houston Texans wanted to interview him for their open head coaching position.
The Texans hired Lovie Smith last season and fired him after this season, as he was only able to get them three wins and a tie. Now, they are right back at it looking for a guy who can lead their terrible roster to some more wins.
If I could give advice to Steichen, I'd say pass on this one. Was Smith a good head coach? He definitely could have been better. But, I don't know why they expected him to win more games with the roster they have.
Steichen will be set up to fail if he takes that job, and I think everyone can see that. The bad part is, he would be perfect for it, as he deserves his shot at being a head coach.
For his sake, not for the Eagles, I hope he doesn't take the job, and you should as well.
