The Baltimore Ravens are hoping that wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. can somewhat resemble the player he once was years ago. He recently did that with another team, though, the Los Angeles Rams
Before Beckham signed a one-year deal with the Rams back in November 2021, head coach Sean McVay and the team's medical staff informed him that he didn't have an ACL. However, Beckham relayed that 'We're going til the wheels fall off' and that's exactly what happened.
After 305 yards and five touchdowns in eight games for the Rams, Beckham would end up tearing his ACL in the Super Bowl against the Cincinnati Bengals, effectively ending his time in Los Angeles. He has not played in a game since.
McVay recently sat down with ESPN's Ryan Clark on his podcast "The Pivot" as the Rams go through their training camp proceedings. He talked about the commitment of Beckham during his time in Los Angeles and his presence in the locker room.
The former first-round pick caught wind of this and his response was very touching but also had some comedy in it.
"Coach Mcvay, you changed my life forever man," said Beckham. "Grateful I had that experience wit u, single handedly changed my life. Love and miss them boys over there , can’t wait to whooop u and coach Rah [Raheem Morris] this year."
The Ravens host the Rams in Week 14 on December 10.
