The Detroit Lions made roster moves three days in a row last week and every time we told you that they weren't done yet. On Saturday they did some very big stuff and they're still not done yet. Here's what the Lions did:

Activated C.J. Gardner-Johnson

He's back. Gardner-Johnson will return to the field for the Lions for the first time since he went down with a torn pectoral in Week 2 against the Seahawks. My guess is that the Lions sort of take it easy with him in this game against the Vikings before letting him fully fly in the playoffs. Expect him to be a part of the rotation this week. Maybe things will get bigger from there.

Activated Alim McNeill

MeNeill seems like he's just ready to go right now. He returned to practice right away and the expectation all week has been that he will play against the Vikings and that he's good to go. Should be interesting to see how the team's pass rush, that has improved as of late, will do with McNeill back on the roster.

Elevated Tyson Alualu from practice squad

We'll get to see Tyson Alualu for the second time since the Lions signed him back in December. He played against the Cowboys on Saturday and played 34 snaps. It should be interesting to see how he plays alongside McNeill. Remember, the Lions can continue to elevate him going into the playoffs.

Elevated Jason Cabinda from practice squad

It's been quite a while since we've seen Cabinda play. Since Week 2 to be exact. The Lions signed him to the 53-man roster last week before waiving him the next day and then signing him to the practice squad on Monday. Now he will presumably be active at fullback for the Lions on Sunday and into the playoffs.

Signed Anthony Firkser to the practice squad

No shocker here. The Lions waived Firkser earlier in the week to make a second spot tom bring back Gardner-Johnson and McNeill. When they waived offensive lineman Matt Fairnok the next day, it seemed liek a forgone conclusion that they would bring Firkser back. This could also point to Brock Wright's hip injury maybe being better come playoff time.
