If there's anyone who knows highly-touted draft prospect Brock Bowers better than his parents, sister, and girlfriend — it's Georgia tight ends coach Todd Hartley.
On the morning of the 2024 NFL Draft, Hartley wrote a message on X/Twitter that appeared to be for NFL general managers, coaches, and scouts:
"I know this…people tend to OVERTHINK everything when it comes to the draft process. It’s not an exact science. But I ALSO know this…don’t OVERTHINK drafting Brock Bowers. He’s the BEST FOOTBALL PLAYER in this draft and that has been PROVEN for 3 years! That IS an exact science!"
Bowers, a 6'3", 243-pound pass-catching tight end, reeled in 175 catches for 2,538 receiving yards and 31 total touchdowns in three seasons with the Bulldogs. Along the way, Bowers helped Georgia win two national championships and became the only tight end in college football history to win two John Mackey Awards.
Where Bowers ends up landing in the NFL draft on Thursday night remains to be seen, though he is projected to go off the board somewhere in the top 10.
And whoever is lucky enough to pick him will undoubtedly be getting the best football player out of this year's draft class.
