Tennessee Vols redshirt junior wide receiver Chris Brazzell had a monster game against the Georgia Bulldogs this past weekend.

Brazzell, who is in his second season with the Volunteers, caught six passes for 177 yards and three touchdowns in Tennessee’s 44-41 overtime loss to Georgia.

Tennessee lost the game, but Brazzell’s performance was something that stood out to 2027 five-star wide receiver Kesean Bowman.

Chris Brazzell’s big day could help Tennessee flip Kesean Bowman from the Oregon Ducks

Bowman, 6-foot-1/174 lbs from Brentwood, TN, has been committed to Oregon since late July. He’s rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 6 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 36 overall player in the 2027 recruiting class.

The five-star recruit was in Knoxville on Saturday for the instant classic between Tennessee and Georgia.

Bowman told On3 that Brazzell’s big game stood out to him.

“Watching Chris Brazzell have himself a day stood out,” said Bowman, who also added that he “likes Tennessee a lot”.

Bowman noted that he’s still committed to Oregon, but the Vols are close to home. And Brazzell’s big day against Georgia showed (again) that wide receivers in Tennessee’s offense can have incredible success against the best teams in college football.
