Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford continues to solidify his case for making the Pro Football Hall of Fame one day.

Many were concerned about Stafford entering the 2025 season after he dealt with a back injury throughout training camp and preseason. Those worries have been put to rest, as he’s thrown for 2,147 yards and 21 touchdowns through the first eight games, making him a legitimate MVP candidate.

As of this writing, the Rams are leading the 49ers 21-7 at halftime in Week 10. Stafford has thrown two TD passes, including the 400th of his career.

Stafford is now just the ninth QB in NFL history to throw 400 TD passes. All but three (Stafford, Drew Brees, Philip Rivers, Ben Roethlisberger) are in the Hall of Fame, and the others will very likely will be soon.

Ahead of Stafford is Roethlisberger, who has 418. It stands to reason that Stafford will pass him, potentially this season. He’ll also have a great chance to pass Rivers (421) and Dan Marino (420). It may be a stretch for him to pass Brett Favre at No. 5, who has 508.

Stafford is also in the top 10 in all-time passing yards with 61,956 entering Week 10. Combine that with having won a Super Bowl ring back in the 2021 season, Stafford has become a sure-fire bet to make the Hall of Fame.

The Rams could make another run at winning a Super Bowl this season. They currently sit at 6-2, tied for the best record in the NFC entering Week 10. The 49ers and Seattle Seahawks are hot on their heels for the NFC West lead, but Los Angeles knows what it takes to go all the way. If Stafford remains healthy, the Rams will always have a shot at victory.
