The Buffalo Bills, like all NFL teams, must navigate the difficult reality that injuries are inevitable. Buffalo has been ravaged by injuries to the offense and defense, though defensively, the team has been hit much harder. Defensive tackle Ed Oliver and defensive end Michael Hoecht have already been lost for the regular season, with the hope that Oliver can return in time for the playoffs.

While the Bills have a few days to turn things around, the latest update the team gave ahead of Monday was not a good one, and it could impact both sides of the football in the upcoming must-win game.

On offense, the team is still evaluating offensive lineman Spencer Brown, who was injured in the loss against the Houston Texans. One of quarterback Josh Allen‘s best protectors could be unavailable.

To add insult to injury, no pun intended, the team is also dealing with injuries to both starting cornerbacks Maxwell Hairston and Christian Benford, and their status remains up in the air as of the time of publication.

Buffalo needs to get healthy, quickly

Allen and the offense have been without one of the team’s biggest playmakers, tight end Dalton Kincaid, making matters even worse. Kincaid is considered week-to-week but wasn’t available for the team in the loss against the Texans. Additionally, return man and newly acquired wide receiver Mecole Hardman suffered an injury and has been placed on injured reserve.

While it wasn’t injury-related, the team was also without receiver Keon Coleman, who was a healthy scratch due to disciplinary reasons. Put plainly, the team is severely undermanned across the board, with the playoff hopes hanging in the balance.

Buffalo doesn’t have the benefit of time to sort it all out. With a must-win game on deck and the AFC playoff race tightening by the day, the Bills need bodies back. Here’s hoping the team gets some good news as the week progresses, because they’ll absolutely need it.
