The Tennessee Vols can breathe easy after one of their top 2026 football commits took a visit to a prominent Big Ten program this past weekend.

2026 four-star athlete/wide receiver Salesi Moa has been committed to Tennessee since July. Over the weekend, the Utah native visited Michigan for the Wolverines’ matchup against the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Moa, 6-1, 190 pounds from Ogden, UT, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 3 athlete in the nation and the No. 1 player in the state of Utah. He’s also rated as the No. 45 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.

Tennessee is expected to hang on to Salesi Moa after his visit to Michigan

On3 Michigan recruiting insider Ethan McDowell noted on Sunday evening that Tennessee is expected to hang on to Moa despite his visit to Michigan reportedly going well.

“Tennessee will likely hang onto Top 100 athlete commit Salesi Moa….until his recruitment is publicly shut down, we’ll keep monitoring the nation’s No. 54 (player),” wrote McDowell. “There’s not much optimism around a flip at the moment.”

That’s certainly good news for the Vols — Moa is a dynamic playmaker who could be one of the sneakiest gets in the 2026 recruiting cycle.

The early signing period begins on Dec. 3. For now, all signs point to Moa signing with the Volunteers this week.
