The Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots are set to face off in Week 15.

It has all the makings of an instant classic, with Buffalo trying to keep its playoff hopes alive and the Patriots trying to win the division for the first time since 2019.

Maye doesn’t hold back with his comments about Josh Allen

Ahead of the matchup, Patriots quarterback Drake Maye had quite a statement about Bills QB Josh Allen — and there’s a mutual respect between the two. While speaking on WEEI Afternoons, Maye offered an honest admission about his relationship with Allen and what he sees from the Bills QB.

“It’s a little different when you’re playing the MVP,” Maye said. “One of the best players in the league, he plays at such a high level.”

That’s when Maye’s admission about Allen came. It was a short but sweet compliment that we’re sure QB1 would appreciate. We couldn’t agree more with Maye’s comments.

“Shoot, I hate to say it, but he’s fun to watch when he’s playing,” Maye said. “Big fan of him off the field. Got to know him a little bit, and he’s been great to me. He leads the team, and they’ve won it a long time.”

The Patriots pulled out the win in Week 5

In the last matchup, the Patriots got the better of the Bills, while both teams unveiled their new Nike Rivarlies jerseys.

After the game, I haven’t worn mine since that abysmal performance by Buffalo. The team lost by three points, but if you remember the game, it was Buffalo’s miscues, mistakes, and self-inflicted wounds all game.

Ultimately, Maye executed some plays in the closing moments, ending Buffalo’s chances of walking away with a victory. It was made even worse by the fact that wide receiver Stefon Diggs had his best game of the season in his first game back in Western New York.

Buffalo is looking for revenge in Week 15

It feels like a must-win game for Buffalo, though that isn’t the case from our most recent analysis on the playoff standings. Divisional games always add some extra excitement, and this one holds a ton of weight in the playoff picture for Buffalo.

While it’s extremely unlikely, if Buffalo wants to win the division, it’ll obviously need to take care of business in New England first. After that, Buffalo needs the Patriots to lose another game and to win out.

The Patriots’ remaining schedule after the Buffalo contest is games against the Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, and Miami Dolphins. Buffalo’s remaining opponents are the Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Eagles, and New York Jets.

Maye’s honest admission about the reigning MVP only adds intrigue to the matchup. The Bills are looking for revenge in Week 15, and Allen will have the chance to remind Maye and everyone else why he’s the reigning MVP. If Buffalo wants a chance to win the division, it starts on Sunday with a win.
