Tyler Shough gets new protection and a key weapon to kick off Saints free agency
According to reports, New Orleans will sign former Buffalo Bills guard David Edwards and former Jacksonville Jaguars Travis Etienne.
Etienne’s addition immediately places a bit more intrigue with the future of RB Alvin Kamara. Ian Rapoport floated the idea that he could retire this offseason, earlier on Monday. The Saints restructured his contract this past weekend to make him a bit more moveable – either by trade or release.
“Travis Etienne doesn’t get talked about like one of the best RBs in the league, but when you look at his numbers since being drafted by the Jaguars, you see how impressive he has been. We will see if Mickey Loomis and co. have anything else up their sleeve to improve depth along the offense soon.
