NFL Draft report reveals top landing destinations for Crimson Tide QB Ty Simpson, including one controversial team
Alabama Crimson Tide QB Ty Simpson is looking to become the franchise QB for one team in the NFL, and he’s visiting his top landing destinations in the 2026 NFL Draft.
The 2026 NFL Draft is less than a month away, and several former Alabama Crimson Tide players will find a new home and continue the prestigious tradition.
One of the top players for Alabama this offseason is QB Ty Simpson, who has seen his NFL Draft stock go through a roller coaster over the last year. His stock is currently on the rise thanks to the national media, and his top landing spots have been revealed with several top-30 visits set up in the coming weeks, including one interesting team.
QB Ty Simpson’s team visits revealed
Simpson is currently sitting as the No. 2 QB prospect in the draft behind Fernando Mendoza, and he looks to be a first-round lock right now. He’s got a busy schedule coming up with top-30 visits with the Arizona Cardinals, Miami Dolphins, and the Cleveland Browns.
Simpson already had dinner with the New York Jets and a private workout as well, so they’re doing their own homework on him.
Arizona Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals currently have the No.3 overall and No. 34 overall pick, so they’re hoping he falls to them in the second round. The Cardinals moved on from Kyler Murray and still have veteran QB Jacoby Brissett on the roster. They need a long-term solution, and Arizona would be an ideal situation for Simpson with Mike LaFleur as the new head coach.
Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins are another team that moved on from their own QB, but they just paid Malik Willis a hefty contract. They also just drafted Quinn Ewers, so Simpson might have to wait behind Willis for a while, but Jeff Hafley and Bobby Slowik are a great coaching duo to learn from.
They also need to find WRs for whoever plays QB after trading Jaylen Waddle. The Dolphins hold the No. 11 overall and No. 30 overall pick, and taking him at No. 11 overall would be a draft stunner.
Cleveland Browns
Now this is the one that caught my attention. Imagine the Cleveland Browns drafting Simson just one year after drafting both Dillion Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders. The Browns do hold the No. 6 overall and No. 24 overall pick, so they can take him if they want to. This would honestly be the biggest shocker of the draft, but the Browns have looked over Simpson thoroughly this offseason.
New York Jets
The New York Jets can’t seem to find their franchise QB for as long as I’ve been alive, and they’re the top team to take Simpson in my opinion. They certainly won’t take him at No. 2 overall, but him going at No. 16 overall should be his exact landing spot if they really want him. The Jets sent the house to Alabama’s pro day and spent a lot of time with Simpson.
