The Buffalo Bills have one of the most important drafts to date. General manager Brandon Beane really needs to nail his selections for the team to be able to compete in 2026. A lot is riding on his shoulders for this draft specifically.

There are plenty of team needs heading into the 2026 NFL Draft, and there are sure to be a few surprises along the way. With the draft just days away, we wanted to compile three final predictions for the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft. While some of these may not be earth-shattering, it’s what we expect to happen when the lights are shining brightest.

Without further ado, let’s get after it.

The Buffalo Bills will trade out of the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft

General manager Brandon Beane said that the organization has on the “lower end” of grades for first-rounders heading into the big day. Pair that with the organization not having any round two selections, and it makes sense for Buffalo to trade down.

While there could be some good players still on the board when Buffalo picks at No. 26, we just have a sneaky suspicion that Beane’s comments, paired with the team’s lack of draft ammunition later on, make a trade down seem like the most realistic scenario.

Now, Beane also said that trading for DJ Moore wouldn’t stop them from drafting a wide receiver high, and while I have been pounding the table for them to take KC Concepcion, it’s more likely that they move out of the first round to get some extra picks later on.

Keon Coleman will remain a member of the Buffalo Bills

Wide receiver Keon Coleman has been the talk of the town, with Adam Schefter recently reporting that Coleman could be on the way out when the NFL Draft begins.

Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, I think that Coleman remains in Buffalo for at least the 2026 season with new head coach Joe Brady eager to change the perception of the wide receiver.

The head coach has been adamant that Coleman is part of the long-term plans for the organization, putting all his faith in the upcoming third-year wide receiver.

“I believe in who Keon Coleman is,” Brady said. “I’ve never questioned his work ethic. I’ve never questioned his athleticism [ . . . ] It’s all going to come together.”

The Buffalo Bills will draft a wide receiver to help quarterback Josh Allen

This one feels like low-hanging fruit, but again feels like an inevitable decision. While Buffalo doesn’t hold any second-round selections, that could change once the draft begins.

Like we previously mentioned, Beane has been adamant that the team isn’t going to shy away from taking a wide receiver in the draft just because they traded for DJ Moore. I’m all about getting Allen more weapons in the offense, and it feels like at some point during the draft weekend, Buffalo is going to do exactly that.

Perhaps a player like Ted Hurst, or even a player like Skyler Bell, who the Bills have shown significant interest in and is projected to be a third-round selection.

Whoever the player is, Buffalo needs some help in the receiving room, and we suspect they’ll use the draft to help flesh out that position group specifically.

Whoever the name ends up being, this draft isn’t about headlines. It’s about finally giving Allen the depth and support the roster has been missing. If Brandon Beane sticks to the plan, moves back, stockpiles picks, and still walks away with a receiver who can contribute right away, it’s a huge win.

But that’s the tightrope.

Because if Buffalo trades down, keeps Keon Coleman, and adds another weapon, there are no more excuses left after draft weekend.
