The Commanders are set to receive their 2026 schedule this week. Therefore, keeping up with all the pre-release rumors is key as we try and solve the puzzle that is the regular season.
The Washington Commanders and the rest of the NFL are about to take the next step toward the 2026 regular season via the schedule release on May 14. That means all kinds of rumors, and leaks, will come out of the woodwork over the next few days.
There’s always a lot to keep up with – and avoid. This week is a ripe opportunity for all kinds of misinformation to be distributed among the masses.
So with that being said, I figured it’s a good to idea to make a Commanders schedule release rumor tracker. It’ll also contain confirmed leaks as barrel toward Thursday’s final product.
Said rumors will come from credible sources and accounts, as well. It won’t just be hearsay from random folks.
With that being said, let’s get it going.
Commanders 2026 schedule release rumors and leaks tracker
As of now, there’s just one rumor with paying attention to when it comes to the Commanders’ 2026 schedule release. We’ll obviously update this when more comes through.
Commanders rumored to play Week 4 in London
Per JP Finlay of NBC Sports, there’s a strong indication the Commanders play in London on October 4, which is a Week 4 game:
Finlay’s point about back-to-back games is an interesting one. There’s a report of the Jags playing the Texans in London on October 18, so there could certainly be a world where the Commanders are overseas for a couple of weeks. They’d obviously play a team other than the Jags on October 4.
