The Detroit Lions are racking up primetime games as we speak. So far, we know about Thursday Night Football against the Bills and a rumored Monday Night Football game against the Panthers. Now you can add the New York Giants to the mix.

Lions slated to host the Giants on Monday Night Football Week 16

The Giants are a pretty exciting team full of characters. It makes sense that they’re getting a primetime game. Jackson Dart, Cam Skattebo, and that insanely stocked defensive line can cause some problems for the Lions.

The interesting part of the whole storyline is that this will be the first time the Lions play against former Detroit nose tackle DJ Reader. The former Pro Bowler did not leave the Lions on the best of terms with fans. After the Lions’ embarrassing loss to the Steelers in 2025, Reader got into it with fans on Twitter and had some colorful things to say.

I’ll be the first person to tell you to leave these players alone on the internet, and that Reader had some justification for his response, but I’ll also be the first one to tell you that there was no way fans were going to take that well, and they’re likely going to be loudly booing him in December.

With that aside, this should be a really fun game for both fan bases.
