The Tennessee Vols have had a heck of a recruiting weekend, and they may not be done yet.

Vols fans got plenty of good news on Saturday with 2027 four-star linebacker Kenneth Simon II flipping from Alabama to Tennessee, and 2027 four-star offensive tackle Q’Mari Hudson committing to UT over Virginia Tech.

Another flip could be coming for the Vols in the not-too-distant future.

Recruiting insider doubles down on flip prediction for Tennessee

The Vols are making a strong push to flip 2027 three-star athlete Dayon Cooper from Florida State.

Cooper, 6-foot/180 pounds from South Pittsburg, TN, is rated as the No. 22 player in the state of Tennessee. He’s being recruited by the Vols as a wide receiver.

The Florida State commit was in Knoxville this weekend for an official visit, and he looked very comfortable in orange and white.

On Sunday morning, On3’s Chad Simmons doubled down on a recent prediction he made for Cooper to flip to the Vols.

We like our prediction for Cooper to flip [to Tennessee] even more than [when] we made the prediction last week,” worte Simmons.

Florida State is recruiting Cooper as a cornerback even though he reportedly prefers to play wide receiver.

It feels like it’ll only be a matter of time before Simmons’ prediction becomes a reality for the Volunteers.

Update:

Cooper has decommitted from Florida State.
