The Las Vegas Raiders have not been one of the teams involved in some recent drama surrounding both the NFL and college football. Players who were drafted, or went undrafted, and didn’t make the 53-man roster of several NFL teams, are trying to go back to college.

You may have seen those players try to go back to college on teams like LSU or even Texas Tech. But, the Raiders have not had any of those players that were on their roster. And, thankfully so. This phenomenon has completely changed the landscape of the sport, and the Raiders don’t seem like they want any part of that. We know that other GMs and coaches feel the same way, too.

“No, that’s the stupidest s*** I’ve ever heard,” Indianapolis Colts GM Chris Ballard said when asked about the recent NFL players trying to go back to college. “Your entire life, you fight to get up to the NFL. Okay, but now we’re gonna go back? That makes a lot of freakin’ sense.”

When Raiders GM John Spytek was asked about the recent roster issues, he wasn’t budging.

“I’m not giving you any Chris Ballard quotes,” Spytek said on Tuesday.

And, that was about as funny as it gets. And it shows you that all of these general managers likely see what each other are saying in their press conferences or in the media. Anyways, John Spytek has other things to worry about.

Raiders still have some roster issues

The Las Vegas Raiders just finalized their initial; 53-man roster. Then, the next day, already made changes. What their roster is right now, will be what their roster is at the end of the season. Well, for the most part. And, it can always be better. Right now, John Spyte needs to be taking a look around the league to see if he could make it any better. He’s not worried about guys trying too go back to school.
