The Miami Dolphins enter Week 1 with a luxury they haven’t enjoyed in quite some time
The Miami Dolphins appear to have 53 players ready to choose from for their game-day active list in Week 1.
The Miami Dolphins are headed west to Sin City. Miami will play the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 1 of the 2026 regular season on Sunday — giving us our first complete look at this Dolphins’ roster amid the Jeff Hafley era.
Hafley’s assessment as a head coach will get several new layers. And one will be which players he ultimately chooses to sit off his 53-man roster for the game. That decision will be particularly interesting for Hafley because the entire 53-man roster was a full-participant in Friday’s practice. It’s the first time Miami can say that in quite a while.

The Dolphins did have four players listed on their Week 1 injury report. LB Ronnie Harrison Jr, TE Will Kacmarek, TE Seydou Traore, and SAF Dante Trader Jr. Trader was a late addition to the list, presumably requiring treatment on his hamstring on Friday before or after practice. But he was still a full participant in the practice itself.
I did not find a single injury report in four years under Mike McDaniel that had every player on a Friday report listed as a full participant. I did, however, find one in the archives. It was 9/11/2009 — when CB Vontae Davis was the only player listed on the injury report that week and was a full-participant on Friday’s release. 17 years!
Yes, the team does have rookie LB Trey Moore and second-year defensive tackle Kenneth Grant on injured reserve. Players like TE Ben Sims have been released from injured reserve with a settlement, too.
So it’s not like the Dolphins have completely avoided injuries this offseason. But for the players that are on the active 53-man roster? Hafley will have them all at his disposal tomorrow. When the inactives list drops, just know Hafley didn’t have any decisions made for him. From there, we can judge those who get on the field and how ready they were to play.
