Las Vegas Raiders DE Maxx Crosby responds to trash talker on the Miami Dolphins in the perfect way
The Las Vegas Raiders had some bulletin board material come their way from Patrick Paul on the Miami Dolphins, and Maxx Crosby responded perfectly.
There was an awful lot of trash talk going into the Las Vegas Raiders’ first game of the season. For some reason, the Miami Dolphins chose Maxx Crosby to talk trash to, of all people. Dolphins offensive lineman Patrick Paul randomly targeted one of the best players in the league.
“I feel like he’s a hothead. He’s a dynamic player,” Paul said. “So with him, just beating him to a spot, getting your hands on him, getting him off his game. He likes to play with a lot of swagger.”
Now, the Raiders won in blowout fashion at home on Sunday. The 27-13 score doesn’t tell the whole story. The game really wasn’t close, and the Raiders didn’t score at all in the fourth quarter. After the game, Crosby had 1.5 sacks, and the Raiders posted a video on Twitter. You know how every team has a player grab the phone and say something for a post-game video? The Raiders gave the phone to Crosby, and he had something to say.
“Hot head, DUMMY,” Crosby yelled into the phone.
Now, the caption said “Dubby,” as in a W in the win column. But you can clearly tell he’s saying, dummy.

Of course, reporters covering the Raiders asked Crosby multiple times about the bulletin-board material. Crosby has been there before. He didn’t bite, not even once. In fact, he acted like he had no idea what anyone was talking about. And, maybe he didn’t at the time, but he certainly did after the game.
“I don’t know what they’re talking about or who is talking about what,” Crosby said. “It is what it is. We’ll see Sunday.”
The Raiders need to use this momentum to keep going. They play the Los Angeles Chargers next week, and they just lost to the Arizona Cardinals.
