The Las Vegas Raiders improved to 2-0 on the season, and 1-0 in AFC West play after a 26-14 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in LA.

It was their second straight game scoring at least 26 points, and both the offense and defense contributed to a convincing road win. Several Raiders players came out of nowhere with standout performances, while only two players fell short of expectations. Here are the winners and losers from the Week 2 win.

Winners from Raiders win over Chargers

Tre Tucker, WR

Tucker might be the No. 1 wide receiver on this team. He had seven targets, caught five of them for 119 yards and a touchdown, and would have had another catch if he hadn’t slipped and fallen on the play. On his touchdown, Tucker ran right past the Chargers’ secondary. It wasn’t a busted play. He was just that fast and that good. Tucker was all over the field making plays for the Raiders all night and probably deserves the game ball.

Kirk Cousins, QB

Cousins was 19-for-29 with 253 passing yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. That interception wasn’t really his fault. It came on the play where Tucker slipped and fell. Tucker was wide open and would have caught it. Otherwise, Cousins orchestrated the offense well, finishing with a passer rating of 113.1. He got the ball to his playmakers and did what he had to do to win.

That’s his second straight week with three touchdown passes, making him the first Raiders quarterback since Kenny Stabler to open the season with three touchdowns in each of the first two games. Cousins is bowling right now.

Hezekiah Masses, CB

The rookie fifth-round cornerback was absolutely awesome on Sunday. Masses had two interceptions for 29 return yards, two pass deflections, a tackle for loss, and five total tackles (third most on the team). He was a ball hawk at Cal, and he showed that same awareness against some of the Chargers’ weapons. If you’re a Raiders fan, you love to see it.

Masses has the makings of a potential star cornerback. Now he just has to string it together and keep having these types of performances. Not necessarily two interceptions every week, but games where you don’t have to worry about the Day 3 cornerback out on the field. He’s that good.

Matt Gay, K

Gay was 1-for-1 on field goals with a 59-yarder, a new career high. He was also 3-for-3 on extra points. There’s not a whole lot to be said here, but the Raiders needed that 59-yarder in a desperate way, and he delivered.

Cody White, WR

The practice squad wide receiver got elevated Saturday from the practice squad to the game-day roster and caught two touchdowns. White caught two passes for 24 yards and scored twice. The first touchdown was an incredible contested catch with the defender draped all over him. The second one came wide open. He also showed up on special teams. This is a guy showing he deserves a spot on the 53-man roster.

Losers from Raiders win over the Chargers

DJ Glaze, OT

Glaze gave up a lot of pressure in this game. He also gave up a sack and missed his assignment in the run game. It was just not a good day for the right tackle.

Ashton Jeanty, RB

Jeanty had three huge drops in the passing game, one of which would have converted a first down. He also ran for just 48 yards on 21 carries (2.3 yards per carry) with a long run of nine yards. The run game simply wasn’t working on Sunday. Next week against the New Orleans Saints, Jeanty can get right back at it and put together a bounce-back performance.
