The Minnesota Vikings are set to take on the Buffalo Bills Monday night in a game that feels like a must-win.

We already knew that Kyler Murray was going to miss this game, and Carson Wentz would be getting the start. Then, the nature of the injury slowly leaked out over the next few days, going from hamstring tightness to a strain, and that finished up as a Grade 2 hamstring strain on Saturday morning.

It was very interesting how the reporting went down, but the reality is it won’t be Murray as the quarterback. Who else will miss the game? The final injury report says everything.

Observations

  • No injury designation for Darrisaw is massive for the Vikings, especially with Wentz being much less mobile.
  • Claiborne and Jennings missing the game is due to injuries suffered during practice. “We did have Demond Claiborne and Jauan Jennings [during] Thursday practice sustain some injuries. Jauan got a calf strain, and then Demond Claiborne got a knee. We don’t necessarily think it’s going to be a surgical thing, but it could be something where we’re still in the process evaluating how much time he may miss. Don’t think his season’s necessarily over, but it was an unfortunate injury during the practice the other day.”

Observations

  • Dawkins not practicing all week is tough for the Bills, but it also makes sense with a rib injury that he could still possibly play on Monday night.
