Will Stein’s comments from before Kentucky’s loss to Tennessee have gone viral and it’s a tough look for him
The Kentucky Wildcats were blown out by the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday night in Neyland Stadium.
Kentucky head coach Will Stein made some comments before the Wildcats’ loss to Tennessee that didn’t age very well.
According to Kentucky Sport Radio’s Adam Luckett, Stein told Voice of the Wildcats Tom Leach before the game that he liked the matchup against the Vols’ defense and that his offense has put “some defenses in a blender” this season.
I don’t blame Stein for showing confidence, but absolutely nothing that he alluded to actually happened.
Kentucky’s six points, in fact, only happened because Tennessee committed penalties on third down to extend those two drives.
The only thing in a blender on Saturday was Kentucky’s offense.
Stein and the Wildcats had no idea what they were facing in Tennessee’s defense, but they found out.
