The Tennessee Volunteers' 2022 season went up in smoke against South Carolina 63-38 in primetime. The Vols will get a chance to return the favor under the lights in Neyland Stadium.
Tennessee and South Carolina will square off on Saturday, September 30 at 7:30 pm ET on the SEC Network.
Tennessee holds a 28-11 advantage in the series with the Gamecocks. Over the last decade, the Vols lead 6-4.
South Carolina and Tennessee are both teams that had high expectations entering the 2023 season, with the Gamecocks coming off a 9-4 season with wins over Clemson and Tennessee late in the season. However, they enter Week 4 of the 2023 season at 1-2 with second-half collapses against both North Carolina and Georgia. Tennessee certainly had a reality check with a 29-16 loss in Gainesville.
One of those two teams will get a chance to right the ship inside Neyland Stadium. The other will likely be once again looking to next year for another memorable season.
