The Tennessee Vols could be on the verge of swiping a 2026 four-star recruit from a Big 10 program.

2026 four-star offensive lineman Micah Smith has been committed to the UCLA Bruins since early June.

Smith, 6-foot-5/325 lbs from Vero Beach, FL, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 13 interior offensive lineman in the nation and the No. 29 player in the state of Florida.

Recruiting analyst predicts that Micah Smith will flip from UCLA to Tennessee

On3’s Marcus Benjamin predicted this week that Smith will end up signing with Tennessee instead of UCLA.

Ohio State and Ole Miss are also in the mix for Smith.

“Smith visited Ohio State, Tennessee, and Ole Miss this fall, and many believe that the Vols could be leading here,” wrote Benjamin. “The Buckeyes could be fading, although he has been to Columbus several times.”

Recruiting is fluid, so there’s certainly no guarantee that Smith will end up at Tennessee (Benjamin made his prediction with “60 percent confidence”). But for now, it sounds like the Vols are in a good spot for the talented offensive lineman.

Tennessee has about a month before the early signing period begins to close the deal with Smith.
