A 2026 four-star recruit that was previously committed to the Texas A&M Aggies has the Tennessee Vols among his top schools.

2026 four-star edge rusher Jordan Carter told On3’s Hayes Fawcett that his top four schools are Tennessee, Texas, Auburn, and Georgia Tech.

Jordan Carter decommitted from Texas A&M on November 1

Carter, 6-foot-3/245 lbs from Douglasville, GA, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 15 edge rusher in the nation and the No. 12 player in the state of Georgia. He’s also rated as the No. 120 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.

The Georgia native committed to Texas A&M in late 2024. He decommitted from the Aggies this past weekend after taking an unofficial visit to Tennessee for the Vols’ matchup against Oklahoma.

“I enjoy knowing that Tennessee will always have an amazing defense,” said Carter to On3 of his interest in the Volunteers. “With having one of the best defenses in the SEC, I’ll be able to be coached by one of the best line coaches in CFB history.”

According to On3, Carter will return to Tennessee for an official visit on November 15 for the Vols’ game against New Mexico State.

Carter won’t have long to make a decision — the early signing period begins on December 3 and runs until December 5.
