Ohio State made a hype video of 5-star RB David Gabriel Georges’ official visit and it’s going to be tough for Tennessee to top
The Ohio State Buckeyes hosted 2027 five-star running back David Gabriel Georges on an official visit in Columbus this past weekend and it reportedly went extremely well.
The Ohio State Buckeyes hosted 2027 five-star running back David Gabriel Georges on his official visit this past weekend.
On Monday, a “hype video” of Gabriel Georges’ visit emerged, and it looks like the coveted running back had a heck of a time in Columbus.
Ohio State is battling the Tennessee Vols for the five-star recruit.
That video is objectively well-done — especially the inclusion of Fox Sports announcer Gus Johnson.
The Vols will get their chance this upcoming weekend to impress Gabriel Georges as the Baylor School standout will take his official visit to Tennessee.
And the good news for the Vols is that they get to see all of the pomp and circumstance from Gabriel Georges’ visit to Ohio State. Tennessee essentially knows how high the bar has been set and what they need to do to clear it.
Gabriel Georges, for example, told Rivals that the highlight of the visit to Columbus was seeing Ohio State’s weight room.
“The overall highlight (of the visit) was seeing the weight room, the mentality there and spending time with (Ohio State RBs coach Carlos Locklyn),” said Gabriel Georges.
That comment from Gabriel Georges tells Josh Heupel and the Vols that the weight room (and strength coach Derek Owings) needs to be a big part of the official visit (maybe UT can find a creative way to present it all, too).
Gabriel Georges is planning to announce his commitment on July 22, so we’re nearing the end of this recruiting battle.
