A few weeks ago, after the Detroit Lions’ loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, safety Brian Branch punched Chiefs receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster.

Look, it was wrong, and we’ve talked about it at length. Don’t worry, we won’t get into it again. But one of the big things that came out of that was this really bad hit piece that ESPN’s Louis Riddick and NFL Films did for their Turning Point series.

Yeah, that was bad. So bad that NFL Films took it down and offered up an apology. Branch, the Lions, and Riddick gave an explanation framed as an apology, but never actually apologized. Fast forward to this past Sunday, and now the Lions have players getting punched in the face. Commanders defensive lineman Daron Payne punched Amon-Ra St. Brown after a Jahmyr Gibbs touchdown in the first half of the Lions’ Week 10 game in Washington.

Before that happened, Commanders defensive lineman Javon Kinlaw was getting in Jared Goff’s face and saying something. We now know what that was because Goff explained it on 97.1 The Ticket on Tuesday, but the best part of all of this was Goff’s troll on Riddick and Turning Point.

“He jumped offside, I told him he jumped offside, he said I know,” Goff said. “I don’t know why he was so excited about jumping offside, but he was. And that was before they punched Saint in the face, so I can’t wait to see Louis Riddick break that one down for us this week on Turning Point.”

Expert troll. No note at all.
