The Detroit Lions made a handful of practice squad moves on Tuesday to open up a spot on the practice squad. The Lions have now made some roster moves on Wednesday to get ready for the 49ers on Sunday. Here's what they did:

Placed Brock Wright on injured reserve

You hate to see it happen. The Lions have been dealing with some injuries in the playoffs and two of those injuries have resulted in players going to the IR. Jerry Jacobs was one and now Brock Wright is the other. Wright broke his forearm in the Lions win over the Buccaneers. wright is a restricted free agent after this season, so we probably haven't seen the last of him here.

Signed Tyson Alualu to active roster from practice squad

This is a much deserved bump for Alulalu. It wasn't long ago when we weren't sure if he'd play again. The Lions signed him in December and he has played a important role for this team as a practice squad elevation for the last four weeks in a row. Signed Zach Ertz to practice squad

The Ertz signing is now official. We'll see if he winds up playing this Sunday. Lions head coach Dan Campbell did let media know that Ertz was in the building on Wednesday, but he was non committal when it came to questions of whether or not Ertz would play this Sunday.

Craig Reynolds was not supposed the be on the field for his touchdown

Lions running back Craig Reynolds had the biggest moment of his career on Sunday night when he ran a 1-yard touchdown on fourth down. Here's the thing though, he was never supposed to be on the field.  […]
