The Kansas City Chiefs have released their first injury report ahead of Week 8’s AFC West showdown against the Denver Broncos.

Everyone participated in practice in some capacity on Wednesday, just as Chiefs HC Andy Reid said they would. The team ran a light 10-10-10 practice to start the week before ramping up with pads on Thursday and Friday. Returning to the lineup was WR Rashee Rice, who missed the past two games with a hamstring injury. Additionally, starting RT Jaylon Moore returned after missing Week 7 with a concussion. The other player back at practice? Chiefs second-year DT Omarr Norman-Lott. He was designated to return to practice after missing over 365 days with an ACL injury.

Here’s a quick breakdown of each team’s Week 8 injury report. Keep in mind that clubs can add to the injury report through kickoff on Sunday. They will release game status designations on Friday, Oct. 30.

Observations

  • Cooper McDonald (knee), Chamarri Conner (knee), and Trey Smith (hip) are all no longer on the injury report.
  • Kahlil Benson (ankle), Drue Tranquill (elbow), and Creed Humphrey (toe) are all new additions to the injury report. All three fully participated in practice.
  • Andy Reid said on Sunday night that Nick Bolton’s neck wouldn’t be an issue. That held true with a full-participation practice on Wednesday.
  • Jaylon Moore returned to full participation from his concussion, which is a good sign.
  • Rashee Rice and Omarr Norman-Lott were both limited on a light practice day. I expect Rice to ramp up a bit more on Thursday, while Norman-Lott will likely ease back in after not practicing for over 12 months.

Observations

  • Pat Surtain II’s full participation on Wednesday is a positive sign that he’ll return to action in Week 8 after missing multiple weeks with an ankle injury.
  • Jaylen Waddle recently had a setback with his chest injury, and his status for Week 8 is in question.
  • Talanoa Hufanga is expected to miss multiple weeks due to his ankle injury. Zach Allen is another big one to watch.
