An updated headcount of what picks the Miami Dolphins own in the 2026 NFL Draft after a busy Round 1

The Miami Dolphins own more picks today than they did yesterday. That’s good news amid the team’s aspirations to build through the draft. But where do all the picks currently stand?

The Miami Dolphins had a busy night on Thursday. There was literally a little bit of everything. There was a trade up! A trade down! Plus two selections and new faces added to the mix — the first coming in the top dozen picks and the second coming in the twilight of the first round.

And, as a clip from the draft room highlighted, the Dolphins were THRILLED to get two more players into the queue of picks by the end of the night.

So what picks do the Dolphins have after last night’s melee? Here’s an updated headcount of scheduled picks in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Currently scheduled picks for the Miami Dolphins after the 2026 NFL Draft’s first round

  • 12th overall – OL Kadyn Proctor, Alabama
  • 27th overall – CB Chris Johnson, San Diego State
  • 43rd overall – TBD
  • 75th overall – TBD
  • 87th overall – TBD
  • 94th overall – TBD
  • 130th overall – TBD
  • 138th overall – TBD
  • 151st overall – TBD
  • 177th overall – TBD
  • 180th overall – TBD
  • 227th overall – TBD
  • 238th overall – TBD

But hey, who’s counting (I am). And with a roster that is loaded with one-year contacts of players who are “chasing the carrot”, as Sullivan puts it, this influx gives Miami a stable group to work around. Miami is currently flirting with some NFL Draft history, too.

The current count of 13 scheduled draft picks is just one less than the current active NFL record, which the 1997 Miami Dolphins hold a tie with (14). Maybe Sullivan trades up again and the pick count goes down. Far more likely? Miami manipulates the board again and adds even more picks to the queue. The Dolphins may no longer have the four third round picks, but their selections between 75 and 151st overall now total a whopping six! That’s where many feel the sweet spot is of this year’s draft.

The Dolphins can’t stop adding picks. And, mercifully, we won’t have to wait too long to find out what players they turn into, too.
