The Miami Dolphins got something they literally asked for in their tough 2026 schedule
The Miami Dolphins’ 2026 schedule is full of tough breaks. But one of those is apparently something the Dolphins straight up asked for.
One thing is for certain with the Miami Dolphins’ 2026 schedule. It is a tough draw.
Miami plays once at home in the first month of the season and will spend the first two weeks of this 2026 season on the West Coast. Miami is scheduled for road games in Las Vegas against the Raiders and then in San Francisco against the 49ers to start this season. But the arrangement is something that, apparently, the Miami Dolphins asked for according to head coach Jeff Hafley. And so…they got it.

“We expressed interest in (back-to-back West Coast games)…we’ve talked about staying out there if we can find a facility that suits us and allows us to do everything that we want to do, so we can just kind of head out there one time. It’d be a good time to bond with the team and then make our way back rather than take two trips, come back late. Another trip, come back late. But at the same time, we want to make sure that we find somewhere where we can stay, where we can train, where we can meet, where we can practice that’s going to be up to the standard that we need for the players, and if we can’t, then we’ll come back.”

The logistics of everything does make sense for the Miami Dolphins. Especially with a young roster set to play this season, getting more early time together amid just one road game in the preseason could actually be a nice camaraderie boost, too. The Dolphins, of course, did not request to start their season on the road in consecutive weeks. But the prospect of stacking both West Coast trips together and ensuring time on the road together could offer some nice added value amid the challenges. And so now the question that awaits this team: can you find a facility to use this fall to help make it happen and bring this vision to life?
