The New Orleans Saints need all the firepower they can muster in Week 16. They've got a Thursday night showdown against the Los Angeles Rams, a team playing improved football recently.
Both teams are tightly contesting for a playoff berth in the NFC. The Rams are shooting for a wild card, while the Saints could still win their division.
On Wednesday, the final injury report for the matchup was revealed. New Orleans got a couple of major questions answered on it.
Star wide receiver Chris Olave will be active with no injury designation, while offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk is out for Thursday's game.
Additionally, Dennis Allen expects rookie running back Kendre Miller to return. The depth RB has not played in over a month. He suffered an ankle injury on November 5th.
Miller has 28 carries for 83 yards to go with nine catches for 111 yards this season. He's shown some explosiveness, especially in the receiving game. New Orleans will be glad to have him back.
As for the OT spot, Landon Young played in place of Ramczyk last week. Expect that to occur once again. Young played fairly well against a tough New York Giants defensive line.
Additionally, Dennis Allen confirmed that Ramczyk's absence is not due to a new injury. That's a plus, at least.
Defensive end Payton Turner (toe), safety Lonnie Johnson (knee), and defensive end Isaiah Foskey (quad) have all been ruled out. Overall, it's a cleaner Saints injury report compared to many other weeks.
