It took a bit of time but the Ohio State Buckeyes are officially on a major hot streak when it comes to recruiting with the 2026 class.
Ohio State started out the week by landing a commitment from five-star S Blaine Bradford, which came as a bit of a surprise. On Thursday, the Buckeyes landed a commitment from four-star S Simeon Caldwell.
That isn’t it for the week though when it comes to landing commitments, as the Buckeyes have landed another one for the defensive side of the football.
Three-star LB CJ Sanna commits to the Ohio State Buckeyes
Ohio State has received a commitment from Olentangy (OH) LB CJ Sanna, first reported by On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Sanna chose the Buckeyes over Wisconsin, Indiana, and Miami.
Landing Sanna was key for the Buckeyes after they missed out on LB Storm Miller, who committed to Texas A&M earlier in the week. Sanna is the first linebacker commitment for the Buckeyes in the class of 2026 and commitment No. 10 overall.
Sanna is a 6-foot-3, 225-pound linebacker who is the No. 449 player in the class of 2026 and the No. 35 linebacker. Expect to see him rise in the rankings after committing to Ohio State, as that is usually the case.
Sanna won’t be the only linebacker that the Buckeyes try to keep in Ohio in 2026. Four-star LB Cincere Johnson is another player who is a major target for the Buckeyes.
Ohio State’s 2026 class is quickly growing and the Buckeyes now have double-digit verbal commitments thanks to the pledge from Sanna.
