Saints showing interest in Joe Brady
New Orleans has requested to interview Buffalo Bills OC Joe Brady for their head coach opening. He's got notable ties to the Saints and the entire state of Louisiana as well.
Brady has actually been on staff with the Saints fairly recently, too. Sean Payton had him as an offensive assistant with the Saints during the 2018 and 2019 seasons before Brady joined the LSU Tigers.
Brady's collegiate offense helped lead quarterback Joe Burrow and the Tigers to a national championship in 2019.
He was one of the hottest names on the coaching market following that season, and he's elevated his role in the pros from quarterbacks coach to offensive coordinator. His offense with the Bills this season ranked second in scoring.
Joe Brady has completely overhauled the Bills offense since taking over after Week 10 in 2023. He took them from good to great, and has the offense performing at an elite level with an unassuming cast of characters. His innovative offense, infectious energy, and ability to communicate is exactly why he’s drawing so many looks.
That said, he’s only 35 years old. A young OC jumping to the role of head coach is a hard leap to make, and the Bills are going to likely do whatever they can to keep their core together and growing into the future. Brady is a terrific coach, and if he can navigate the stress and responsibility of running the show by bringing in a great and experienced supporting cast, he could find success. His energy will certainly help him win over a locker room.
Brady was the offensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers prior to joining the staff in Buffalo. Over time, he's garnered a lot of useful experience and grown as a play-caller. New Orleans clearly has interest in the young coordinator.
The Saints are also expected to interview Philadelphia Eagles OC Kellen Moore, Detroit Lions DC Aaron Glenn, Miami Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver, and others around the league as they search for a new head coach.
Interim HC Darren Rizzi is also expected to interview for the full-time job for the Saints, and he remains hopeful that he will land the position.
Saints showing interest in potential young coaching star that a lot of the NFL has on its radar
The New Orleans Saints have finished their season in last place in the NFC South. Luckily for fans, change is coming on the staff after Dennis Allen was fired in early November. Interim head coach Darren Rizzi will reportedly interview for the full-time position, but other options will get a chance at grabbing the job […]
